Membership Requirements

Active membership shall be limited to persons directly or indirectly affiliated with Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas either as students or alumni, faculty members and or as the Executive (the Board) shall deem appropriate. The general body of the organization/association/union shall be composed of two-third (⅔) registered students (full or part time) in any Supply Chain Management program at Wichita State, with the rest being staff and/or faculty and alumni. The privileges and responsibilities necessary to constitute membership include, but are not limited to, the following:

• SASCM shall not restrict membership or discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, personal appearance, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, or on the basis of rights secured by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution

• All active members of the organization shall have equal rights and privileges to vote and/or be voted for.

• If  SASCM decides to collect membership fee/dues, payment in full of such financial obligation, as may be determined, shall be required. However, payment of fees/dues shall not be required for voting or deprive a member from voting.

• Active members shall participate in at least (25%) events/activities held by the association per semester. 

• Membership titles shall be revoked upon failure to attend meetings, meet responsibilities or adhere to code of ethics. 

• Any disputes that arise shall be mediated by the Board/Officers of the organization. After this process, any disputes unable to be resolved shall be resolved by a majority affirmative vote of members not involved in the dispute

• Voluntary Members Withdrawal: Any member of our organization, at any time, can voluntarily withdraw membership from the organization (by delivering a written notice of such withdrawal to an officer) 

• Interested SCM students will have to fill out an application form drafted and approved by the Vice President of the organization in order to be considered a active member.
